Innovative technologies drive economic prosperity, and organisations or nations that delay adoption risk poor performance. Over the past century, four major technological waves shaped industry: steam power, electricity, electronics, and today’s molecular-level advances such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence. This study focuses specifically on AI’s business applications and effectiveness. It explores literature, digital transformation initiatives, survey findings, and data analysis to assess AI’s real position in industry, particularly in Life Sciences, and to identify how organisations can use digital transformation to improve performance and achieve sustainable growth.
